“April showers bring May flower” hmm… as I write this on Mar. 10 our daffodils, iris’, Bradford pear, and MANY other flowers/trees are in full bloom. I’m thinking the author of this little rhyme came from the north!!!

Well, I suppose the not-so-good news is that I just finished last weeks reading... somehow I thought I was nearly caught up... Oh well, I'll just keep plugging along as I suspect most of you are - I just may wrap things up a few days behind. We'll see; I still have a week or so to redeem myself.

I would imagine Ms. Holmes found it difficult to write this book. To try to "fill in the lines" of the Gospels. Thus far I have found no bit offensive. I am intrigued at her descriptions of Mary Magdalene and her relationship with Jesus. I also love the bond between Peter and Adah - the way she imagined it worked between a disciple of Jesus and his wife.

Well anyway, I need to go to bed but wanted to at least post something.

Love to you all,

Cesca

Ha! I'm a couple weeks behind. I thought I'd catch up while Eric was in the hospital, but surprise, he wasn't in long enough for me to catch my breath. I think I read one chapter. I just finished the chapter of Magdalene's deliverance. (why does she call her Magdalene and not Mary of Magdalene?) It was interesting that she made her to be the one that was "caught in adultery". Such a sad story she made of her life. You have to wonder what really happened to some of these people-the real hurts they went through. Even with the woman at the well it doesn't go into much detail. Do you really think he was left all alone to talk and deliver her? I don't think that was right. And to hold her like that. This author is on the verge of putting a lot of lustful thoughts in our minds. I find that very offensive. Maybe that's why I'm having such a tough time reading it. Coming from that sort of background I have to be very careful what kind of literature I allow myself to read. It stirs up a lot of memories that I've spent a great deal of time repenting and repairing. And during this time of so much difficulties, I'm finding it very hard to guard my thoughts.

Well, I'd better go. I have a lot of catching up to do.

I didn't get a chance to tell you Susan(and David) CONGRATULATIONS! :D Now you and R.A. can raise your babies together. :D

Thank all who prayed for us this last week!

Love to you all, Digger
